Add Folder
Email folders can help you to organize your email. For example, you may want to create folders for various projects, categories, senders, etc. To add a folder, do the following:
- Click the green plus “+” icon, located in the Email Folders list.
- In the Name of Folder box, enter a name for the folder.
- To place the folder inside of an existing folder, click the Create in drop-down menu and select a destination folder.
- Click the Save button. The new folder will appear in the Email Folders list.
Note: You may also want to create email filters, so that incoming email is automatically filtered into those folders. To learn more, please see the help topic, “Add a Filter.”

Rename Folder
To rename a folder, do the following:

Right-click the folder and select Edit ‘(folder name).‘
- In the Name of Folder box, make changes to the folder name, as desired.
- Click the Save button.

View Folder Size
To view the total file size of each email folder, do the following:

Click the Gear icon, located in the Email Folders list.
- Click the Update Sizes button. Each folder’s total file size will appear in the Sizecolumn.

Move Folder
To move a folder into another folder, do the following:

Right-click the folder and select Move ‘(folder name).‘
- Select a destination folder. The moved folder will appear as a subfolder, inside the destination folder. Or, if you want the folder to be a main-level folder (not inside another folder), select Inbox.
- Click the OK button.

Move Email to Folder
To move an email to another folder, do one of the following:
- Click and drag the email from the email list to a folder in the Email Folders pane.
- When viewing an email in its own window, click the Move to Folder icon, and select a destination folder.
To move several email messages at one time:
- Select the check box next to the emails you want to move into another folder. To select all email on the current page, click the uppermost checkbox.
- Click the Move drop-down menu, and then select the destination folder. The selected email messages will be moved from the active folder to the folder you specify.

Delete/Purge Folder
To permanently delete all emails contained in a folder, do the following:

Right-click the folder and select Purge ‘(folder name).‘
- When you are prompted to confirm that you want to permanently delete all emails in the folder, click the OK button.
To permanently delete an email folder (and all emails contained in the folder), do the following:

Right-click the folder and select Delete ‘(folder name).‘
- When you are prompted to confirm that you want to permanently delete the folder, click the OK button.
